Treasure

I’m not ready for love’s embrace,

Worn by the weight of its endless chase.

I need this time, this space, to grow,

To mend the cracks only I can know.

Your words linger, they carve their place,

In my heart, where they’ll always grace.

I hope this truth won’t tear apart,

The bond we share, a treasured start.

You’re a woman beyond compare,

With kindness rare, and strength laid bare.

Each word we share, each walk we take,

Builds something pure, for both our sake.

If ever it feels too much to bear,

Let me know, I’ll always care.

But for now, my soul must find its way,

Before I give my love away.

Love’s not the hunt for someone right,

It’s becoming the one who lights the night.

When I’m whole, the ones meant to be,

Will find the love I give freely.

So I pause, not to deny,

But to honor truth—I cannot lie.

For if I love, it’s all of me,

And I’ll give that love unconditionally
